Building Better Learning Experiences: An Active Learning + Digital Literacy Approach

This workshop is design to help faculty move beyond just mapping learning outcomes into a course or syllabus and instead to see themselves as learning experience designers (and to see the classroom as a learning experience design space). To help in this process, the workshop will ground participants in basic concepts for integrating both Active Learning practices and Digital Literacy approaches into the classroom, showcase examples and discuss possible considerations, and then invite participants to redesign one class experience in a way that leverages some of the practices and concepts introduced in the workshop. This will be a hands-on (virtual) workshop and invite participants into collaborative engagements as part of the experience.
