Academic institutions are looking for ways to implement virtualization to deliver skills labs for in-person, blended or fully on-line courses. In this session Moraine Valley Community College CSSIA and NISGTC representatives and NDG will present academic institutions with their current working virtualization model being used to teach a wide variety of ICT courses.
Moraine Valley Community College, The National Science Foundation Center For Systems Security and Information Assurance (CSSIA) and the Department of Labor National Information Security, GeoSpatial Technologies Consortium (NISGTC) and NDG will present a lab environment designed to teach general IT, the EMC Academic Alliance Information Storage Management labs, VMware IT Academy vSphere ICM (VCP) labs, CSSIA.ORG CompTIA Security+ labs, Cyber Security competition practices and open lab access.
MVCC will present plans for several new courses in the areas of Cybersecurity, GeoSpatial, Programming and Networking such as Ethical Hacking, Security+ and Linux+. NDG will also present new vendor courses including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Cloud Computing. Attendees will have the opportunity to access the virtual lab, ask questions about setting up a virtual environment and discuss new courses planned for distribution by NDG for NETLAB+support of CSSIA.ORG and DOL NISGTC.
