At the 2011 Online Teaching Conference, course policies for distance education are reviewed. Some traditional DE policies - student readiness, communication and turn-around time, student responsibilities and expectations, late work, and cheating/plagiarism - are reviewed. The top 5 college program policies are presented as Definitions of program; Regular Effective Contact; Check in and Drop; Faculty Training Criteria; and Visitation Protocol.
