In this commentary, we take a look at some short-term investment examples. One is a money market fund that invests almost exclusively in Treasury bills and other short-term securities backed by the United States Treasury. These types of short-term investments are sold at a discount and "accrue" to the face value over 3 to 6 to 9 months.
