What is a Pharmacy Technician? Pharmacy Technician is the right hand assistant to a Pharmacist. Pharmacy Technicians are responsible for a lot of duties:
1) Taking prescription from the patient (or from the computer - 80% of prescription orders are sent to the pharmacty via computer now)

2) Decipher a medical doctor's handwriting (THAT TAKES TRAINING!)

3) Pull the correct medication from the shelf

4) Count out the correct dosage of medication

5) Bottle and label the medication correctly

6) Have the pharmacist check the prescription

7) Dispense the medication to the customer

and many more duties related to making the pharmacy work correctly!
